AI Recommender & Chatbot for Material Master Management

At Sinar Mas Mining, managing material master data was becoming more difficult as thousands of records were added or updated regularly, increasing the risk of duplication and errors. To solve this, Teman Data built an AI-powered system that combines a smart recommender engine with a chatbot. The system flags potential duplicates, suggests corrections, and guides users through submissions in a simple, conversational format. This made data entry faster and more accurate, reduced manual checks, and gave teams greater confidence in the quality of their data.
 

Handling material data at a large scale is no easy job. At Sinar Mas Mining, new submissions came in regularly—but many were either incomplete or too similar to existing records. Over 30% risked duplication, and about 7% were rejected due to errors. This slowed down daily work and caused problems in areas that depend on clean, reliable data.
